New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell is expected to suit up on Sunday against the cross-town rival New York Giants, making him a strong fantasy play with plenty of upside.
Bell enters this contest having rushed for an underwhelming 415 yards and only one touchdown in eight games. He didn't explode in the team's Week 9 loss to the hapless Miami Dolphins either, but that game did give us some reasons to be optimistic.
Bell saw nine targets in the game, after only seeing 10 combined in the three previous games. His 17 carries were also his most since Week 3, and his increased volume should give his fantasy value a big boost.
Bell has an especially good chance of breaking out against the Giants. So far on the season, the Giants have allowed an average of 114.3 yards rushing and 44.1 yards receiving to opposing backfields. With the ability to do damage in both areas, that's a good sign for Bell, who is typically the only Jets' RB to play a significant role.
The Jets are 3-point underdogs in a game with a 43.5-point over/under on FanDuel Sportsbook. That suggests that a lack of TD opportunities could continue to limit Bell's ceiling, though he should see enough volume to make up for it.
Whether or not Bell has burned you this year, he appears to be healthy entering a prime fantasy matchup. If there was ever a time for him to get back on track, this would be it. He sits at RB7 in our Week 10 PPR fantasy football rankings.
