Houston Texans fans can't be enjoying this offseason very much. The team shipped off star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and they still don't even have a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

It's not all bad, however, as potential franchise left tackle Laremy Tunsil seems pretty excited about his future playing with Deshaun Watson.

Tunsil was acquired in a trade with the Miami Dolphins last season, and he has just one year left on his contract. The two sides are engaged in contract negotiation this offseason as the Texans try to lock him up long-term.

Houston still has a budding young star in quarterback Deshaun Watson, and keeping him protected with a strong offensive line is going to be crucial to their long-term success. Watson was sacked on 8.2 percent of his dropbacks in 2019, compared to 10.9 percent (third-worst in the NFL) in 2018 without Tunsil.

Watson himself may not be thrilled with what's been going on in Houston, based on some not-so-cryptic tweets, but a good relationship between two potential franchise cornerstones could go a long way to righting the ship in Houston.

Texans fans have to be pretty happy to get this small ray of hope amid an otherwise frustrating offseason.
