The Seahawks' unexpectedly great season came to end with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs this past Sunday.

When head coach Pete Carrol did his press conference after the season ended on Monday, he provided injury updates on a few players, one of them being linebacker Jordyn Brooks.

Jordyn Brooks Injury Update

Brooks suffered a torn ACL in the Seahawks' Week 17 win over the New York Jets. Now, Brooks is scheduled to have surgery to repair that torn ACL in the next few days.

It won't be known until after the surgery what Brooks' recovery timeline looks like, but with an ACL, it's safe to assume 10-12 months as a general range, depending on the player, their position and how the recovery process goes.

Brooks has been a tackling machine for the Seahawks the last two seasons as a full-time starter, garnering 184 in 2021 and 161 in 2022. Now, that void will exist on Seattle's defense for most of, if not all, of next season.
