Key Eagles Free Agent Already Linked to Another Team
The Philadelphia Eagles will head into free agency looking to re-sign several key players that helped get them to the Super Bowl this past season. The reality of the situation, though, is there'll likely be some tough departures due to salary cap constraints.
In fact, one player is already being linked to another team before free agency opens.
Tim McManus of ESPN reports the Cleveland Browns are one team eyeing EDGE Brandon Graham. McManus adds Graham wants to end his career in Philadelphia, but that will depend on the team's offer this spring.
This isn't exactly the most positive sign toward a return. The fact there's another team pinpointed as a suitor this early shows there's strong interest in the veteran defender. Philly's offer also needing to be up to par definitely puts pressure on the front office before free agency begins.
Graham's resurgence was an important part of the Eagles' defensive dominance this past season. Coming off of an Achilles tear in 2021, Graham recorded a career-high 11.0 sacks in 2022. That impressive performance after a major injury led him to finish fourth in Comeback Player of the Year voting.
It's clear the 2010 first-round pick still has plenty left in the tank following his showing in 2022. However, after 13 years in Philadelphia, there seems to be a legitimate chance he moves elsewhere in free agency.
