There's a lot of excitement for New York Giants fans heading into the 2021 NFL season. Daniel Jones have another experience under his belt, healthy Saquon Barkley returns to the field, and there's a new face in town. That's wideout Kenny Golladay, who signed with the Giants after four years with the Detroit Lions.

Aside from injury struggles last year, Golladay has been one of the most productive WRs in the NFL.

But the fifth-year NFL veteran left New York's training camp with an apparent leg injury on Monday. No official news on the injury has been released, but this certainly clouds his fantasy football outlook ahead of the 2021 campaign.

Kenny Golladay Fantasy Football Value

Injury troubles held the exciting, young wideout to just four games in 2020. He was on pace for another brilliant season while recorded 338 yards and 2 touchdowns in those four games, but sat out from Week 7 through the end of the season. FantasyPros' average draft position (ADP) data has Golladay going as the 26th wide receiver off the board.

When healthy, Golladay is a very serviceable WR2 option for fantasy owners. Even in the short sample size last year, the former Lion was on pace for 1,352 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. That pace would have ranked top-10 across all NFL wide receivers in 2020.

It's unclear what sort of impact this potential injury may have on Golladay's start to the 2021 season, but luckily Week 1 is still about a month away. That's plenty of time for the fifth-year veteran to get back to 100% health.

Across Golladay's prior two seasons in 2018 and 2019, he averaged 1,126.5 yards and 8 TDs while catching 57.4 percent of his targets. Giants fans would love to see that catch percentage tick up in 2021, but he'll likely garner a ton of targets from Jones and the offense.

Golladay is listed as WR23 The Duel's fantasy football rankings. It's worth keeping an eye on this potential injury before rounding out any personal draft boards ahead of the fantasy season.
