Buffalo Bills fans have to be excited about what they saw from Josh Allen in 2019. Sure, he hasn't ascended to that upper echelon of NFL passers yet, but he undoubtedly took steps in the right direction. He proved he can be a dynamic threat with his rocket arm and athletic ability without hurting the team in the turnover battle, as he only tossed 9 interceptions.

But there's one stat that should really pique Bills fans interest: Allen arguably outplayed Aaron Rodgers down the stretch of the 2019 campaign.

Their numbers during that eight-game stretch are shockingly similar. Of course, being that the passing figures are so similar, the edge goes to Allen thanks to his exploits on the ground. Over Allen's final eight full regular-season games, he tallied 275 rushing yards and 6 TDs, while Rodgers had 86 yards and no scores during that same span.

None of this is to say Allen has surpassed Rodgers (he hasn't, obviously), but it goes to show that Allen is far more competent than he's often given credit for.
