Jordan Howard Injury Update Improves Myles Gaskin Fantasy Outlook
By Max Staley

Jordan Howard's fantasy managers can't be happy about this start. The fifth-year back only played six snaps before missing time with a hamstring injury. The main appeal of Howard was the volume he was expected to see as the Miami Dolphins' lead back, so this is a horrible break for his managers.
Howard's absence does create some value for second-year RB Myles Gaskin, however.

Myles Gaskin Fantasy Football Outlook
Gaskin paced the Dolphins in snaps in the first half, and he was clearly the most productive back on the team. He's handled 7 carries for 35 yards thus far, significantly outplaying Howard (5 carries for 6 rushing yards).
Gaskin also added 26 yards through the air on 4 catches – that's a dimension Howard simply doesn't have. Howard, meanwhile, has never even reached 30 receptions in a single season.
Though Miami's offense certainly doesn't offer much to get excited about, Gaskin will be a popular waiver wire add if Howard misses any time. Matt Breida's presence (5 carries 22 yards) does cap Gaskin's upside a bit, though.
As for Howard, he's safe to drop if he's set to miss even one week.
