Jordan Howard Injury Update Creates Massive Fantasy Value for Miles Sanders in Week 13

Jordan Howard has missed each of the Philadelphia Eagles' last two games due to a shoulder injury, and he still hasn't been cleared for contact. That puts his Week 13 availability against the Miami Dolphins in serious doubt.

While that's obviously not good news for Howard's fantasy owners, it does create serious value for Miles Sanders.

Sanders hasn't exactly capitalized on the increased opportunity without Howard over the last two weeks, averaging 60.5 yards from scrimmage during that span.

Still, a matchup with the Dolphins generally cures all. Miami has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing RBs, and the Dolphins are the league's worst defense, per Football Outsiders' DVOA rankings.

If Howard is indeed sidelined, then Jay Ajayi, who saw six carries in Week 12, could also become fantasy viable if you're in a pinch.

Prior to this update, Howard was the RB17 in our Week 13 fantasy football PPR rankings, with Sanders coming in at RB28. If Howard is out, Sanders looks like a high-upside RB2 against Miami, and Ajayi could be a FLEX option in standard-scoring formats.
