Joe Mixon Injury Update Boosts Week 5 Fantasy Outlook

Fantasy football managers may have been surprsied to see running back Joe Mixon pop up on the Cincinnati Bengals' injury report on Thursday after being a limited participant in practice. Mixon is dealing with a shin injury, but it looks like he is back and will be ready to go on Sunday.
The Bengals take on the Baltimore Ravens in an important Week 5 NFC North battle. The Bengals are 12.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, and could use another big day from Mixon if they want to pull off the upset.
Joe Mixon is going through drills with no problems, so he should be fine this weekend vs. BAL.

Joe Mixon Fantasy Outlook
Mixon enters Week 5 coming off his best fantasy performance of the season so far as he posted 151 yards on 25 carries and scored 2 rushing touchdowns. He also caught all 6 targets for 30 yards and scored a receiving touchdown as well.
The fourth-year player out of Oklahoma has proven to be a workhorse running back for the Bengals this year as he has received at least 16 carries in each game. He is averaging over 4.0 yards per carry and also has seen at least 2 targets in each game from rookie quarterback Joe Burrow.
Taking on the Baltimore Ravens defense will be no easy task for Mixon this week, however. The Ravens are only allowing 97.5 rushing yards per game this season (T-No. 6 in the NFL) and have given up just 1 rushing touchdown to a running back all year.

Mixon checks in as the No. 8 running back in our Week 5 fantasy football rankings and figures to be a large part of the Bengals' offense once again. He is a low-end RB1 moving forward and should be in your lineup every week.
