San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been ruled out of their Week 2 game with an ankle injury.

Jimmy Garoppolo Injury Update

With Jimmy G out, backup Nick Mullens slides into the starting role. Mullens has had his up-and-down moments as a starter. But the drop from Garoppolo to Mullens would significantly hurt San Francisco's receiving corps from a fantasy perspective.

George Kittle Fantasy Outlook

George Kittle is nursing an injury and is questionable for Week 3 already, but as the Niners No. 1 pass-catching target, he might not see the biggest loss in volume. His efficiency should take a hit, though.

Kendrick Bourne Fantasy Outlook

Outside of Kittle, players like Brandon Aiyuk and Kendrick Bourne can expect a hit to their fantasy value as well. Bourne only had 2 receptions for 34 yards in Week 1, but that was tops among all 49ers' wide receivers.

There is no word on how much time Jimmy G will miss, if any, but with Mullens under center, all 49ers' pass-catchers will take a significant hit from a fantasy perspective.
