It's been five seasons since the Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50, which is also the last time that they've made the playoffs. With a roster full of promising young players, they're hoping that their fortunes change in the 2021 NFL season. One player that the Broncos are counting on to make a huge jump forward is second-year wideout Jerry Jeudy.

The 15th overall pick of the 2020 draft, Jeudy impressed in his rookie campaign as he toppled 800 receiving yards. Now, The Athletic has named him as the Broncos best breakout candidate in 2021, which should, understandably, boost his fantasy outlook.

Jerry Jeudy Fantasy Outlook

Jeudy played in all 16 games for the Broncos last season, recording 52 receptions for 856 yards and 3 touchdowns. The crazy thing is that his numbers could've been that much better. While Jeudy was targeted 113 times, he only caught 46.0 percent of those passes with 10 drops. Assuming he's improved his catching ability over the offseason, there's no reason why those numbers can't be higher.

Another thing that'll bode well for Jeudy is a healthy Courtland Sutton. The Broncos No. 1 wide receiver tore his ACL in the first game of the season, meaning he hardly got to play with the then-rookie. Considering how Sutton had over 1,100 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in 2019, he'll likely draw some attention away from Jeudy, which means the second-year wideout could see more quality looks.

That's not even to mention how Teddy Bridgewater could be an improvement over Drew Lock under center. The Broncos also began throwing the ball a lot more towards the end of the season, averaging 40.0 passing attempts over their final three games (T-5th in that span). If they kick off the 2021 NFL season with that same mentality, Denver's receivers could see a lot of opportunities.

As it stands, Jeudy's average draft position is 110.0, putting him towards the middle rounds of the draft. He's currently ranked as the 41st overall wideout on FantasyPros', which means that he could fly under a lot of fantasy owners' radars and end up being a steal for a lucky someone.
