Jaxson Hayes Stats
Jaxson Hayes was one of the best true freshmen in the nation last season, averaging 10.0 points per game (PPG), 5.0 rebounds per game (RPG) and 2.2 blocks per game (BPG) despite playing just 23.3 minutes per game.
While he's raw, the Texas product has a good feel for the game. Hayes is also an exceptional athlete for a player of his size and his 7-foot-3 wingspan could help make him a quality rim protector at the next level.
However, Hayes is far from a finished product. The 19-year-old prospect will need to improve his rebounding, having only averaged 5.0 RPG as a freshman. Most importantly, however, he'll need to develop a 3-point shot if he wants to become an impact player at the NBA level.

Jaxson Hayes NBA Draft Predictions
- Washington Wizards (No. 9) or Atlanta Hawks (No. 10)
The Washington Wizards could use a capable rim protector, especially since Dwight Howard is currently the team's starting center. Hayes has his limits on offense, but he projects as an NBA-ready defender right now.
The Atlanta Hawks have two top-10 picks in the draft and can definitely afford to use at least one of them a high-upside big like Hayes. While his ceiling is enticing, taking the Texas product would also address a need in Atlanta's frontcourt, as the Hawks could lose Dewayne Dedmon in free agency. Additionally, Hayes could make for a nice pairing with Hawks' forward John Collins.
