Jaquiski Tartt Apologizes for Dropped Interception

With just under 10 minutes left to play, and the San Francisco 49ers leading by three points in the NFC Championship, Matthew Stafford hurled a dime downfield right into the hands of safety Jaquiski Tartt. It could have easily been a game-deciding play to punch San Francisco's ticket to Super Bowl 56, until Tartt dropped the easy INT.
Tartt spoke somberly to the media following the game, and completely owned up to the mistake with a humble apology. He followed this up with a similar sentiment on Twitter.
No excuses!! I deserve all the criticism my way! Opportunity I dream of I came up short!!! Let my brothers down!! It Still won't define me as a person/player. Only will get stronger and better... #Believdat

Jaquiski Tartt Dropped Interception
Certainly a tough pill to swallow for Tartt and the 49ers, but it's impossible to place all of the blame of this NFC Championship on the veteran safety's shoulders.

Tartt and the 49ers ultimately fell, 20-17, as the Rams advanced to Super Bowl LVI with an impending matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Feb. 13.
The 49ers can hang their hats on an improbable NFL Playoffs run, reaching the NFC Championship as a No. 6 seed. It'll be interesting what Kyle Shanahan and his staff decide with the future at quarterback with many expecting rookie Trey Lance to take over starting duties in his second NFL season.
