James Robinson Injury Update Solidifies Week 11 Fantasy Outlook

Fantasy managers anxiously awaiting injury updates on Jacksonville Jaguars' running back James Robinson can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The second-year pro is officially active against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, which solidifies his fantasy outlook as a borderline RB1 option.

James Robinson Fantasy Outlook

Robinson has been battling multiple lower-body injuries that have caused him to be placed on the injury report in each of the last three weeks. Fortunately, he has been cleared to play and should be able to take on his role as the featured back on this Jaguars' offense.

Head coach Urban Meyer has started to use Robinson as a workhorse after his slow start to the season. The 23-year-old has seen at least 16 touches in each of his last five games and has also scored 6 touchdowns over that span. Overall, Robinson ranks as the RB14 in PPR scoring leagues.

Veteran backup Carlos Hyde is sure to be mixed in for a few carries here and there, but this is Robinson's backfield. He draws a favorable matchup in Week 11 as the 49ers are allowing the ninth-most rushing yards per game (122.8) as well as 4.4 yards per carry (T-No. 18 in NFL).

Slated as a 7-point home underdog, look for the Jaguars to lean on Robinson early in hopes of controlling the clock and earning another upset victory. The Jacksonville ball-carrier checks in at RB13 in The Duel's Week 11 fantasy football rankings.
