Jameis Winston Had Classy Reaction to Buccaneers Winning Super Bowl LV

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a bold move prior to the 2020 offseason to move on from starting quarterback Jameis Winston, feeling that a divorce was better for both sides. It turned out incredibly well for Tampa, who signed Tom Brady and eventually won the Super Bowl.
Appearing on Bryant McFadden's podcast All Things Covered, Winston was nothing but class when talking about his reaction to the Buccaneers' triumph.

Winston congratulated his former teammates for their win, not holding any grudges about his separation from Tampa. In fact, the QB is using the Bucs' ring as his own motivation heading into next season.
“I just wish I was able to be a part of that. And I still look back and I’m just like, ‘OK, I’m somehow a part of that,’ just in terms of the mentality and the teammates that I built countless hours of work with. But at the end of the day, I’m excited for my teammates and that's all I can be."

It's not all bad for Winston, though. He landed with the New Orleans Saints for the 2020 season and made an impression as a leader, which led to the team re-signing him for a chance to take over for the retired Drew Brees.
As a five-year starter in Tampa, the former No. 1 overall pick now has a shot to lead a team once again from under center. And he could have at least two games this season against the in-division Bucs, setting up some highly anticipated matchups.
