Updated (Sunday, Oct. 31, 6:15 p.m. EST): Jameis Winston was officially ruled out for the remainder of the Buccaneers-Saints Week 8 contest.

The New Orleans Saints were dealt some tough news on Sunday after quarterback Jameis Winston left the field in the second quarter with an apparent leg injury.

It was unclear the exact extent of Winston's injury, but he was clearly hurting as he limped off the field. Winston then left for the locker room on a medical cart after getting initial treatment in the sideline medical tent.

Winston went down after an awkward tackle in the second quarter of this NFC South showdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That tackle caused his one leg to buckle underneath him and the Saints will further evaluate their quarterback in the locker room.

Winston entered Week 8 non-ranked on The Duel's Week 8 positional rankings and is QB21 in fantasy football this season.
