It wasn't the pick most fans were expecting, nor did it seem like the one some may have wanted, but Jalen Reagor is now a Philadelphia Eagle. Knee-jerk reactions aside, Reagor is a flat-out burner and he looks set to contribute in Philly from day one.

Without much competition at the position, Reagor could be a really high-upside fantasy football option as a rookie.

Jalen Reagor Fantasy Football Outlook

Last season, no Eagles' wide receiver finished with more than 490 receiving yards. Though Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson are likely coming back, Nelson Agholor's departure leaves 69 vacated targets up for grabs. Reagor's high draft pedigree suggests he's a good candidate to soak up the lion's share of those opportunities.

He also projects to be a perfect fit with Carson Wentz. In Wentz's near-MVP campaign in 2017, the Eagles' signal-caller had a stellar 9.9 average depth of target (aDOT). Without many legitimate deep threats on the team, his aDOT fell to 7.7 and 8.0, respectively, over the two subsequent seasons.

The addition of Reagor and return of Jackson could allow Wentz to do what he does best – push the ball downfield. Despite the lack of proven options at receiver, Wentz still had the ninth-most completions that traveled at least 20 yards in the air. Notably, his receivers had a combined 7 drops on such plays, which was tied for the worst mark in the NFL.

Big-play threats like Reagor and Jackson are exactly what this passing game needs, and Reagor should see plenty of high-leverage targets as a rookie.

The nature of his game inherently makes him a boom-or-bust option on a weekly basis, but the TCU product has a huge ceiling. Reagor best viewed as a high-upside WR3, and he's currently the No. 3 WR in our dynasty rookie rankings.

Despite the fans' initial reaction, all signs point to Reagor being an excellent option for Philadelphia and fantasy owners alike.
