Undrafted free agents have been signing with NFL teams left and right since the conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft. That includes a former standout quarterback from Brown University as the Jacksonville Jaguars were quick to poach EJ Perry from the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday morning.

Perry had originally come to terms on a deal with the Eagles after not hearing his name called last weekend. However, Philadelphia was able to land Nevada's Carson Strong, a player the front office thought was heading elsewhere. That caused Perry to switch gears and join the rebuilding Jaguars.
The 24-year-old capped off a three-year college career with the Bears by completing 66.4% of his pass attempts for 3,033 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2021. He also added on 7 rushing touchdowns and was praised throughout the pre-draft process for his ability to efficiently navigate the pocket.
Perry is set to enter training camp as the fourth option in the QB room behind Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Beatherd and Jake Luton. The first team All-Ivy League selection's next goal should be winning a battle to move up the depth chart and putting together a strong preseason showing in the fall.
For now, the Jaguars will look to post a winning record for just the second time in the last decade and have the young talent to kickstart a turnaround. Jacksonville currently has odds set at +700 to win the AFC South and odds set at +10000 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
