Jaguars Get Encouraging Travis Etienne Injury Update After Leaving Week 12 Game

The Jacksonville Jaguars pulled off an amazing fourth-quarter comeback in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens. Trevor Lawrence threw a touchdown to Marvin Jones with just 14 seconds remaining, then converted on the 2-point conversion to give the Jags an incredible 28-27 win.
Travis Etienne Injury Update
Unfortunately for Jacksonville, starting running back Travis Etienne suffered a foot injury during the game and did not return. Luckily, it seems that move was out of precaution and not due to the seriousness of the injury, according to head coach Doug Pederson.
Jaguars HC Doug Pederson said RB Travis Etienne was cleared to return to the game yesterday with his foot injury but he decided to hold him out not to risk it. They were planning to do more tests but Etienne said he was fine and team thought so too. Good news.

Etienne has taken off since the Jaguars traded his backfield mate James Robinson to the New York Jets. Coming into Week 12, Etienne had eclipsed 100 rushing yards in three of his previous four games while scoring four touchdowns.
While we don't have final confirmation on Etienne's Week 13 status just yet, Pederson doesn't seem too worried. Jacksonville will go up against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, where the Jaguars are 1.5-point road underdogs according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
