Jacoby Brissett Injury Update Boosts Fantasy Outlook as Streaming QB Option in Week 11

Things are looking up for the Indianapolis Colts' offense in Week 11, as Brian Hoyer will likely head back to the bench with Jacoby Brissett poised to return to action after sitting out Week 10 with a knee injury last Sunday.

The shift from Brissett to Hoyer was such a drastic one that the Colts, who were 5-2 through Week 8, lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers when Brissett went down in Week 9 before losing to the bottom-feeding Miami Dolphins sans Brissett in Week 10.

Brissett's return immediately ups the fantasy value for their entire offense, and the benefits are twofold. First, their pass-catchers have a more competent QB getting them the ball. Second, with a superior QB, they should have a much easier time sustaining drives, bringing back the touchdown upside in the offense after they scored just 12 points against Miami.

Brissett had also been flashing some solid fantasy football appeal of his own before the injury. Through Week 8 he was 13th among QBs in fantasy points per game, just 0.1 points per game out of 12th and 0.2 out of 11th.

Brissett's matchup for his return isn't a terrible one, but it doesn't do him any favors either. The Jacksonville Jaguars have allowed the 15th-most fantasy points per game to opposing QBs, and they rank 10th against the pass in Football Outsiders' DVOA metric.

While he doesn't crack the top-12 among QBs in our Week 11 fantasy football rankings, he still carries some appeal as a potential streaming option if you're hurting for a starting quarterback this week.
