Hue Jackson's stint as an NFL head coach went about as poorly as it possibly could have. Jackson coached one year with the Oakland Raiders in 2011, going 8-8, but didn't get another head coaching opportunity until 2016 with the Cleveland Browns.

With the Browns, Jackson was a putrid 3-36-1 before being fired halfway through his third season. How much of that record was his fault is up for debate, but he surely deserves plenty of blame for it.

However, Jackson reportedly now has a new head coaching gig, this time in the college ranks. Jackson will be the next head coach at Grambling State University.

Grambling State needs a boost to their football program, finishing below .500 the last three seasons. Jackson may not have had success at the NFL level, but plenty have failed there and have found great success at the collegiate level. You know if Nick Saban struggled in the NFL then it can't be easy.

If Jackson can help turn around Grambling State's program, it will go a long way in people forgetting about his tenure in the NFL.
