The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a lot of ups and downs along the 2021 NFL season, leading to a 7-7-1 record ahead of a Week 17 Monday Night Football matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Even though Pittsburgh's playoff odds are slim (4%, according to ESPN) you can never say never in the NFL. Assuming they win on Monday, here's how the Steelers can clinch a playoff berth in Week 18.

The Steelers' playoff hopes will rely on themselves, as well as a little outside help. For starters, Pittsburgh will need to beat the Browns on Monday and score a win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.

All of the above sounds doable, although, the Steelers will also need the Jacksonville Jaguars to figure out a way to upset the Indianapolis Colts.

Taking all of the above into account, the Steelers certainly have an uphill battle ahead of them. Nevertheless, Pittsburgh does have wins over Cleveland and Baltimore already this season, so there's a reason for fans to feel some sense of optimism.
