The Buffalo Bills looked amazing in a blowout win over the New England Patriots during the Wild Card Round. They will now travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. It's never easy winning at Arrowhead Stadium, but the Bills have the pieces in place to pull off an upset.

Bills vs Chiefs Odds

It's worth noting that this isn't the first time the Bills will be playing in front of a raucous Kansas city crowd this season. Buffalo went into the Chiefs' house and beat them, 38-20, back in Week 5 in what was a stellar all-around performance. Taking a page out of that book is not a bad idea by any means.

What really set the Bills apart in that game was their ability to win the turnover battle. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes's threw two crucial interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. Buffalo also recovered two fumbles and finished the game with zero turnovers of their own.

Field position played a key role in that game as did the Bills' pass defense. Buffalo held Mahomes to just 272 passing yards and 8.2 yards per completion. Nothing was open over the top and yards after the catch were nonexistent. Buffalo forced a dangerous Kansas City passing game to be stagnant.

There's a reason the Bills finished the year ranked No. 1 in pass defense DVOA rating. They are giving up just 165.9 passing yards per game and allow an opponent completion percentage of just 56.5% (No. 1 in NFL). Simply working with what has gotten them to this point may be the best strategy.

Buffalo has proven they can put up points, so this one is going to come down to how well the defense can play. For now, Buffalo heads into this highly-anticipated matchup as 2.5-point road underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
