Las Vegas Raiders' fans will be glad to hear that they should be getting their rookie first-round pick back this week as wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was a full participant in practice on Friday. This is a step in the right direction when it comes to Ruggs suiting up for the Raiders on Sunday.

The Raiders take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5 NFL action and could certainly use all the help they can get. They are 11.5-point underdogs heading into the game, according to FanDuel Sportbook.

Henry Ruggs III Fantasy Outlook

Ruggs has been battling knee and hamstring injuries that have made him miss the past two games, but it looks like he will be ready to go. The offense could use a boost after losing the past two games to fall to a 2-2 record on the year.

Drafted as a deep-threat receiver out of Alabama, Ruggs is a type of weapon that Derek Carr hasn't had since he first became the quarterback for the Raiders. He showcased those skills in a long 45-yard play in a Week 1 win over the Carolina Panthers.

While Ruggs wasn't super productive in his first two games (4 receptions for 59 yards), he allows the offense to spread the field and causes the defense to keep an eye downfield. That allows the other short and intermediate routes to open up.

Ruggs doesn't crack the top 40 wide receivers in our Week 5 fantasy football rankings, but he is worthy of FLEX consideration this week due to the amount of injuries suffered across the NFL. He could become Carr's No. 1 option moving forward.
