Heat vs Celtics Game 4 Info

2021-22 NBA Playoffs — Eastern Conference Finals Game 4 (MIA Leads 2-1)
Miami Heat (53-29, 24-17 Away) vs. Boston Celtics (51-31, 28-13 Home)
Date: Monday, May 23, 2022
Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
Venue: TD Garden — Boston, MA
Coverage: ABC

The first two games of this series weren't relatively close and Game 3 looked to be on the same path at halftime. Miami entered the locker room with a 15-point lead, but Jimmy Butler was ruled out for the rest of the contest with knee inflammation. It opened to door for Boston to make a comeback.

The Heat's lead was cut to just one point before a couple of clutch shots in the final minutes allowed them to pull away for good. They took a crucial 2-1 series lead thanks to a 109-103 victory and regained home court advantage. Game 4 now lines up as a must-win game for the Celtics.

Heat vs Celtics Odds & Spread

All NBA betting lines, odds and prop bets are available on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: MIA: (+240) | BOS: (-295)
Spread: MIA: +7 (-110) | BOS: -7 (-110)
Total: 208.5 — Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)
Odds to Win NBA Finals: MIA: (+300) | BOS: (+330)

It's interesting to see these odds stay almost exactly the same despite the fact that the Heat had no trouble balling out at TD Garden in Game 3. The Heat earned the win as 6.5-point underdogs in that one and will look to do the same as 7-point underdogs on Monday night. All three games of this series has hit over the point total, which has made it increase just a bit from 208 to 208.5.

Heat vs Celtics Prediction & Pick

All NBA win probability predictions and picks are according to numberFire.
Prediction: Boston Celtics win (70.8%)

numberFire's projection likes the Celtics to bounce back and tie the series with a Game 4 win. That's no surprise given how dominant Boston has been at home this entire season. Head coach Ime Udoka's squad is 23-9 in its last 32 home games, while head coach Erik Spoelstra's team is 19-13 in its last 32 away games. The Celtics have also yet to lose back-to-back games during this postseason run.

Final Score Prediction: Celtics: 113 | Heat: 104

Heat vs Celtics Betting Trends

- Miami is 13-5-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 19 away games.
- The total has hit the over in four of Miami's last six games.
- Boston is 12-5 straight up in its last 17 home games.
- The total has hit the over in four of Boston's last five games against Miami.

When it comes to the spread, the Heat have proven that they can keep games close when on the road (13-5-1 ATS). The total seems to be worth checking out the most here, though. 10 of the last 13 meetings between Boston and Miami have hit the over dating back to 2019. There's little reason to believe that stops now with both teams shooting over 45% from the floor in this series.

Tyler Herro Injury Update

Tyler Herro has officially been ruled out of Game 4 due to a groin injury. As of now, he's expected to be ready to suit up for Game 5.

Heat vs Celtics Best Bet

All NBA betting lines, odds and prop bets are available on FanDuel Sportsbook.

This one is all about motivation and health. Butler is nursing a knee injury and reports claim he will likely be available to play on Monday night, but he may not be 100% ready to go. Meanwhile, the Celtics are in do-or-die mode and need to get off to a hot start to gain momentum. Keep in mind Boston has only lost two of the 12 quarters during this series. Look for Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to establish their presence early on in this one.

Bet 1st Quarter Spread: Boston Celtics -2.5 (-110)
