In what's becoming the new norm for NFL teams over the past two years, several players have kicked off training camp unable to play dude to COVID-19. The Baltimore Ravens are not immune to this as they began training camp with several important names sidelined, including QB Lamar Jackson and RB Gus Edwards.

But, the Ravens got some great news on Friday morning as Edwards was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. He was back in practice on Friday and looking to get up to speed as quickly as possible.

The Ravens will be thrilled to the second member of their dynamic two-headed monster duo in the backfield. With Jackon's dynamic rushing ability under center and the pair of Edwards and J.K. Dobbins combining for 1,500+ rushing yards in 2020, the Ravens easily led the NFL on the ground last year.

Baltimore averaged 191.9 rushing yards per game in 2020, nearly 30 more yards per game than the second-leading Tennessee Titans. Edwards signed a two-year contract extension earlier this offseason after pacing the Ravens' running back corps in attempts (144) with 723 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Heading into the 2021 campaign, the Ravens have high expectations. Baltimore owns the fifth-best odds to win Super Bowl 56 on FanDuel Sportsbook, with their odds set at +1400.
