The Guardians Should Steal This Free Agent Away From the White Sox

The Cleveland Guardians will look to begin a new era for the franchise in the 2022 MLB season. However, there are still a couple of holes left to be filled on the roster if Cleveland hopes to be competitive this year.
One area that the Guardians could use more depth in is the outfield. Fortunately, they can address that issue while stealing a player away from a rival team by pursuing the Chicago White Sox's Brian Goodwin.
Guardians Free Agency
A former first-round pick, Goodwin brings 429 games worth of MLB experience to the table. He saw 235 at-bats in 72 games with the White Sox last year, finishing with eight home runs, 29 RBIs and a .221 batting average.
While he may not be the flashiest bat, Goodwin brings a specific valuable quality with him: versatility. He can play any of the three outfield positions, having spent at least 100 games at each of them. Considering how the Guardians need help at both corners, it's easy to see why he's an attractive option.
At the end of the day, the Guardians have +7000 odds (T-No. 20) to win the 2022 World Series. While Goodwin wouldn't turn them into instant contenders, his signing would at least give them a more complete roster while taking a player away from the rival White Sox in the process.
