George Kittle Hypes Up 49ers Rookie

For incoming San Francisco 49ers rookies, there's few names bigger on the list to impress than tight end George Kittle. The fifth-year tight end is one of the most talented playmakers on this 49ers roster and owns two Pro-Bowl selections and one All-Pro honoree on his resume.
San Francisco added eight names in the 2021 NFL Draft. Although rookie QB Trey Lance may enter camp with some of the biggest expectations, Kittle has been particularly impressed by rookie running back Trey Sermon.

With Jeff Wilson Jr. (knee surgery) potentially out until midseason, they've got options behind Raheem Mostert, including rookie Trey Sermon
Kittle: "I’m a huge fan of Trey... He’s such an aggressive runner." https://t.co/CJQg2atDtP
Perhaps this fondness stems from a little love between two former Big Ten standout talents, but there's nothing but love early on.
I’m a huge fan of Trey, just watching him in the playoffs or Big Ten championship game, just to see him. He’s such an aggressive runner, he’s a big body who likes to run through people. But he still has finesse to his game, which is awesome to see.

Kittle, the clear-cut No. 1 tight end on San Francisco's roster, has been a pass-catching machine over the past three years racking up multiple 1,000+ yard seasons. For Sermon, the running back depth chart may be deep for the 49ers, but that won't stop his talents.
Sermon averaged 7.5 yards per carry during his lone senior season at Ohio State, including 4 touchdowns and 870 yards, before the 49ers traded up to draft him at no. 88 overall.
The 49ers are a talented bunch and own the fourth-best odds (+1300) to win the 2021 Super Bowl, according to the latest NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
