Former Denver Broncos offensive tackle was officially listed anywhere from 315 to 330 pounds during his playing career. As is the tradition with heavy linemen in the NFL, that was likely a conservative estimate of his weight, at best.

As we've seen with many other linemen, however, once he didn't need to be carrying that much weight, he was happy to drop it.

Just check out this crazy transformation he showed off on Twitter.

Apparently down 84 pounds, Franklin looks like an entirely different person now, and it sounds like he's thrilled with the progress.

Franklin's NFL career only lasted a little over six seasons, but he certainly made the most of his time in the league. Starting 63 games for the Denver Broncos from 2011 to 2014, Franklin got to protect Peyton Manning and helped the Broncos reach Super Bowl XLVIII.
