The Los Angeles Rams kicked off their preseason schedule with a 13-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. They faced some tough decisions right after, though, with the first training camp cut date approaching.

The Rams have made their first round of cuts to get down to 85 players.

Los Angeles waived five players on Monday to get to the 85-man limit: linebacker Derrick Moncrief, offensive tackle Ryan Pope, defensive lineman George Silvanic, kicker Austin MacGinnis and outside linebacker Max Roberts.
None of the released players has played a regular season game in the NFL aside from Moncrief, who's only suited up in one. Prepare for more notable names once the Rams get to the next cut down date.

Here's the full list of when cuts will need to be made during the preseason.
Teams will trim down to 80 players on Aug. 24, and down to 53 players on Aug. 31.
