With NASCAR's All-Star Open in the rear-view mirror and the back half of the 2019 season set to get underway, the first weekend brings us the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 26.
This Sunday's race is one of the more well-known events on the circuit, so there should be plenty of top drivers gearing up to make a run for the checkered flag at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
With that in mind, let's take a look at some drivers to watch out for when building your fantasy team this weekend.
Despite having a few down weeks in a row and never having won the Coca-Cola 600 in his career, Denny Hamlin has averaged a fifth-place finish over his last four races on this track. In seven of his last eight Coca-Cola 600's, Hamlin has finished no worse than eighth. This could be a perfect opportunity for him to grab his first win here and get his 2019 season back on track.
Kevin Harvick has still yet to grab a win this season, but he's surely raced well this year overall. He has won the Coca-Cola 600 two times before and finished in the top-3 spots in five of his last 10 appearances here. Only once in his career has Harvick gone this deep into a season without getting a win, so if it's anyone's time to step up, Harvick could be the guy.
Kyle Busch returns to a track where he's had a ton of recent success. Not only did he win this event in 2018, but he came in second place in 2017 as well. On top of that, Busch has eight wins at this track in each of the Xfinity Series and Gander Outdoors Truck Series, respectively. He'll look to make it his fourth win of 2019 and become a back-to-back winner of this event Sunday.
