With golf's third major of the year in the 2019 U.S. Open on the horizon next week, the RBC Canadian Open presents the last event for players to get some work in during a tournament setting.

Despite the field not being loaded with top talent because of that, let's take a look at some golfers to keep on eye on when building out your fantasy team this week.

Brooks Koepka

Brooks Koepka has historically played the week before a major, and it's usually worked out well for him. He played in the 2019 Byron Nelson before the PGA Championship this year and walked away with a solo fourth-place finish. Koepka already has two wins on the year, including the PGA Championship, and five top-10 finishes on the season overall. Koepka also ranks seventh on tour in greens in regulation (GIR), which should be important at a course where good putting is paramount.

Matt Kuchar

Despite missing the cut at the Memorial last week, Matt Kuchar is still the leader in FedEXCup points this season and should be motivated to get back on track. Especially in an event played the week before arguably the most difficult tournament of the year. He ranks ninth on tour in driving accuracy (perfect for this course's narrow fairways) and first on tour in GIR.

Jim Furyk

Jim Furyk is a past winner of this event in 2006, which is certainly long time ago, but he still knows what he's doing on this course. He ranks first on tour in driving accuracy and 13th in GIR. With three top-10 finishes on the season, including a second-place finish at THE PLAYERS Championship, Furyk could surprise people this week in a lighter field.

Rory McIlroy

Though he missed the cut last week as well, Rory McIlroy has otherwise been on fire this season. He's racked up nine top-10 finishes already, including a win at THE PLAYERS Championship. He ranks 14th in GIR, first in eagles per hole and fourth in scoring average. McIlroy is 154th in driving accuracy but first in driving distance, so on a shorter course, it could provide him the opportunity to keep the driver in the bag more often than other golfers who will still need the distance.
