With the new PGA Tour season in full swing, PGA Tour pros are heading to California AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at the famed Pebble Beach Golf Course.
Let's take a look at some golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.
AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Fantasy
Jordan Spieth hasn't played much in 2022 yet, with only two starts, he missed one cut and finished T-21, but this event brings out a special Jordan Spieth. He has nine career starts at this event, and he's grabbed a top-10 finish in five of them. And a top-22 finish in eight of them. He even won the event back in 2017. Spieth playing in this event clearly brings out the best in him, even in recent years while he's endured struggles on other courses. With a better than 50% chance Spieth finishes top-10 at this event, he's got to be in your serious consideration set.
Remember how well I said Spieth played at this event, well, Jason Day is even better. In fact, its been eight years since Day has finished outside the top-11 in this event. He is on an unprecedented streak here, finishing top-seven in five straight years and top-five in four of those seasons. Overall, in 12 career starts at this event, Day has eight top-10 finishes, and even better percentage over more events than Spieth. Another advantage for Day, he's actually playing well coming into the event, finishing T-3 in two of his last three starts.
Maverick McNealy doesn't have the pedigree of the other two names on this list, either for his career or at this event. While he missed the cut in his first appearance here, the last two years, McNealy has placed No. 5 and No. 2 respectively. Additionally, McNealy hasn't missed a cut since October and has three top-23 finishes in his last five starts. You're getting him at a better value than both Day and Spieth, but he's proven he can hang with the best on this track.
