The Buffalo Bills are one of the many teams that COVID-19 has affected over the last week or so. With the Buffalo's offense taking a hit due to the virus, the latest Emmanuel Sanders injury update should provide Bills fans and fantasy owners alike with some much-needed optimism.

Emmanuel Sanders Injury Update

Sanders sat out of the Bills Week 15 matchup against the Carolina Panthers due to a knee injury. The good news is that he was a full participant at Thursday's practice. Now, Buffalo is feeling good about his odds of suiting up for a Week 16 tilt against the New England Patriots.

While this injury update is great for Sanders' fantasy managers, so is the latest news on one of his teammates.

Gabriel Davis COVID Update

In addition to Cole Beasley, fellow wide receiver Gabriel Davis has now been ruled out for the Bills' Week 16 matchup against the Patriots due to COVID-19.

With Beasley and Davis averaging 7.2 and 3.3 targets per game this season, respectively, the possibility of an increased target share has Sanders' fantasy outlook on the rise.

Emmanuel Sanders Fantasy Outlook

Sanders has had his highs and lows this fantasy season, ranking as the WR40 in PPR before missing last week's contest.

The veteran wideout started the season strong, recording 24 receptions for 413 yards and four touchdowns in his first six games as a Bill. Unfortunately, he hasn't found the end zone since Week 5 and has been held to 28 or fewer receiving yards in each of his last five games.

If Sanders is healthy enough to play this weekend, he'll face a Patriots defense giving up the third-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. The silver lining is that Stefon Diggs will likely have most of Bill Belichick's attention, which should open Sanders up to a potential WR2/3 performance.
