Wednesday marks the first real practice time for teams in the NFL conference championship games this week. This session will be important for the Philadelphia Eagles as they await updates on several banged-up contributors before facing the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

The latest injury news from Wednesday's workout was huge for Philly.

Philadelphia Eagles Injury News

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters that cornerback Avonte Maddox and wide receiver A.J. Brown are both slated to participate at practice on Wednesday.

Furthermore, quarterback Jalen Hurts said his sprained shoulder is getting "better" as he prepares to take on the 49ers.

All around, this is fantastic news for Philadelphia. Maddox is perhaps the most notable, as the CB has missed the team's last three games and logged DNPs all throughout last week. The fact that he's expected to practice in at least some capacity is a great sign he could return in the NFC Championship Game.

The updates on Brown and Hurts should also ease any fears. Brown was seen limping toward the end of the team's Divisional Round win after suffering a hip injury against the New York Giants. However, he said he'll be good to go against San Fran, so this doesn't appear to be a major issue.

Hurts, of course, is dealing with that sprained shoulder, but his progress is very encouraging. The Eagles will need the MVP contender as close to 100% as possible if they want to advance to the Super Bowl.

Philadelphia is currently listed as a 2.5-point home favorite against San Francisco according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
