The 2022 NFL season has been chock full of surprising upsets and closely contested battles. In fact, 18 games have been decided by three points or less so far. The Philadelphia Eagles are now the only undefeated team left in the NFC, yet they are being disrespected by ESPN's Week 4 power rankings.
Philadelphia Eagles Power Rankings
Philadelphia checks in at No. 3 overall, which is five spots higher than its ranking before Week 3. The only teams ahead of them are the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. When it comes down to it, there's an argument to be made that the Eagles have been the best team in the NFL this year, though.
Head coach Nick Siranni's team is averaging the most yards per game (447.0) on offense and has posted the most sacks in league on defense (12). Philadelphia's front office has put together a truly balanced roster that features rising stars like quarterback Jalen Hurts and linebacker TJ Edwards.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins and Bills have showcased obvious flaws. Miami ranks outside the top 20 NFL teams in terms of total DVOA rating and is allowing 6.3 yards per play (No. T-No. 27 in NFL). Buffalo's entire secondary is injured and have no dangerous rushers outside of quarterback Josh Allen.
It's worth pointing out that Philly is the second-biggest favorite of the Week 4 slate despite playing a dangerous Jacksonville Jaguars team. Oddsmakers clearly view the Eagles as a dominant force. Another blowout win would surely show the rest of the league that they shouldn't be underestimated.
The Eagles are listed as 6.5-point home favorites over the Jaguars, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
