Eagles Bringing in Veteran Coordinator for Second Interview

As if losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII wasn't bad enough, the Philadelphia Eagles lost both of their offensive and defensive coordinators to begin the offseason as Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon accepted head coaching positions with the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals, respectively.
Now, Philly is working to fill those roles. The Eagles are bringing in former Cardinals DC Vance Joseph for a second interview after spending most of Tuesday morning conducting their first interview with him.

Eagles Defensive Coordinator Search
Joseph has been a coach in the NFL since 2005, including a brief stint as the Denver Broncos' head coach from 2017-18. He then went to Arizona to be their defensive coordinator, where he served from 2019-22.
Getting a second interview means that the 50-year-old Joseph is being strongly considered for the role and is potentially the favorite to get it.
He would inherit a talented defense that is set up for success in the long term -- a situation any incoming coordinator would be thrilled with. Philadelphia featured one of the best defensive units in the NFL last year and looks like a Super Bowl contender for years to come, making it an ideal landing spot for him.
