Even without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the Miami Dolphins took the 2-seed Buffalo Bills to the edge during Wild Card Weekend. Miami couldn't come away with the victory, falling 34-31, but the franchise made major leaps in their first year under new head coach Mike McDaniel.

Now Miami's attention turns to the offseason and that starts with making decisions on a number of important impending free agents. Reports Monday revealed the Dolphins are already showing interest in re-signing one of these names.

Dolphins insider Barry Jackson reported a discussion he had with free-agent cornerback Nik Needham, who explained the team wants to bring him back.

Needham hasn't played since Week 6 of the season when he suffered a season-ending torn Achilles. The fourth-year pro was off to a strong start, picking up 2 passes defended and 21 combined tackles to start the year.
