Dodgers Open as Massive Favorites for Opening Day Matchup With Giants

Every MLB offseason in recent years, it feels like the Los Angeles Dodgers try and one-up themselves. Their newest and almost unfair additions were Mookie Betts and David Price, via trade with the Red Sox. Price elected to sit out in 2020, so he won't factor in for the Dodgers, but Betts could be a huge help in them finally winning the elusive World Series Championship they have failed to capture in recent years.
Los Angeles is currently the favorite to win a ring in 2020 on FanDuel Sportsbook, at +380 odds. The San Francisco Giants on the other hand are expected to be bottom-feeders this go-around. That makes for lop-sided odds on Opening Day.

Dodgers vs Giants Opening Day Moneyline
The Dodgers are currently sitting at -300 moneyline odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, with the Giants at +250. It's set to be a veteran pitching matchup. Johnny Cueto, who made his long-awaited return for San Fran last September, pitching 10 shutout innings his first two starts before getting shelled his final two, will go for the Giants. The fourth (and last) 2019 start was against the Dodgers, who chased Cueto off the mound in 2 innings after three home runs and five earned runs.
His adversary will be Clayton Kershaw, who the Giants are obviously no stranger to. The three-time Dodgers Cy Young winner is 23-12 against San Francisco all-time (47 starts), with an astounding 1.74 ERA.
Clayton Kershaw was 10-2 with a 2.89 ERA at home in 2019 and went 1-2 with a 2.37 ERA in four appearances against the Giants. How will he fare Thursday? Get our #MLB picks for Opening Day! https://t.co/Sb6ZvqxP2w

The pitching matchup definitely favors Los Angeles, based on those numbers. That isn't the only thing the Dodgers have going for them either. The game is in Los Angeles, so even though there won't be fans in the seats, it's a home game.
They also have a lineup stacked from top-to-bottom, including 2019 MVP Cody Bellinger and 2020 Rookie of the Year candidate Gavin Lux. The chances are certainly slim for the Giants in this one, but baseball is a fickle sport. Any team can win on any night.
