DK Metcalf Fantasy Outlook Remains Boom or Bust With Monday Night Football Matchup Against Vikings in Week 13

DK Metcalf has quickly established himself as a dangerous deep threat in his rookie season. With Russell Wilson throwing him the ball, Metcalf's 16.6 yards per reception tie him with Mike Evans for the 10th-highest mark in the NFL.
While Metcalf has been an effective weapon overall, he's been pretty hit or miss from a fantasy perspective, with four games above 10.0 fantasy points, and seven below that mark. Facing the Minnesota Vikings on "Monday Night Football," Metcalf has a high ceiling, but a low floor in Week 13.
DK Metcalf had a long drop earlier but this one is just awful despite not a perfect pass. Would've been an easy touchdown.pic.twitter.com/FQ24AXkuys

The Vikings aren't the dominant defense that they have been in years past, ranking No. 16 in Football Outsiders pass defense DVOA metric. Minnesota has also surrendered the fourth-most PPR points to opposing wideouts this season, so this looks like a pretty solid matchup for Metcalf.
Additionally, Metcalf's impressive performances in Seattle are another point in his favor. The rookie wideout is averaging 75.2 receiving yards per game on 20.9 yards per reception when playing at home. That's a significant improvement on the 42.3 yards per game and 12.7 yards per catch he's averaging on the road.
This does look like a pretty solid spot for Metcalf, the WR31 in our Week 13 fantasy football PPR rankings, but he's been pretty inconsistent, making him a bit of a boom-or-bust option on Monday night.
