The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are headed to the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers after routing the New Orleans Saints in the fourth quarter on Sunday. This isn't the first meeting between these two teams this season, as they squared off in Week 6, with the Bucs earning a commanding 38-10 home win.
Lineback Devin White sounded off on the Packers after that victory, but his comments are now resurfacing ahead of their rematch.
Green Bay grabbed an early 10-0 lead against Tampa before the Bucs scored 38 unanswered points to hand the Packers their first loss of the season. White was, understandably, riding high after such a standout performance against MVP favorite Aaron Rodgers, but now he'll have to back his words up under much different circumstances.
The Packers have won their last seven games, dominating the competition to end the season and taking down the top-ranked Los Angeles Rams defense in their Divisional Round Game. Green Bay will also have the home-field advantage, and with snow in the forecast, the team from Tampa Bay will be out of their element.
There's no doubt that Rodgers and the Packers have made bulletin board material out of White's comments. Getting on the bad side of an MVP is almost never a recipe for success.
