Derwin James is simply unfair. As a 6-foot-2, 215-pound safety, James is an absolute bruiser in the run game. But he's no slouch in coverage, either. Take a look at what he did to Keenan Allen, one of the best route runners in the league, at Los Angeles Chargers training camp.

You can bet that will make it onto "Hard Knocks."

Heading into his third year in the league, James might already be the most versatile defender in the NFL. He racked up 105 tackles, 13 passes defended, 3.5 sacks, 3 interceptions and 6 QB hits as a rookie in 2018. There just aren't many players capable of locking up Keenan Allen, generating a pass-rush and dominating an opposing run game.

James was sidelined for 11 games in 2019 following that stellar rookie season, but it looks like the Chargers' Renaissance man is back up to full speed.

The sky's the limit for the 24-year-old.
