Starting at 5:00 p.m. ET, we have 10 races Saturday at Del Mar "Where the Turf meets the Surf."

As always, check the program for scratches and changes, and monitor the weather and track conditions.

(I will reference Equibase's Speed Figure in selected races, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions).

2. Woodbine Way and Shes'a Perfectlady, Race 7

Race 7 is an Allowance race with a full field of 12 fillies and mares sprinting 5 furlongs on the turf. Woodbine Way (9/2) with top jockey Juan Hernandez up is the top pick by numberFire's data followed by Shes'a Perfeclady (5/1).

Woodbine Way has speed from slightly off the pace, and can get into the winners circle after a runner-up finish most recently. Shes'a Perfectlady returns from a five-month layoff with a three-race win streak and proven ability to fire fresh.

3. Laurel River and Speakers Corner, Race 9

FanDuel Racing Odds: 5/1 and 6/5

Race 9 is the $250,000 Pat O'Brien Stakes (G2) at 7 furlongs. Speaker's Corner (6/5) is the top pick of numberFire and he faces easier after finishing behind the country's top older horses. Speakers Corner has the top speed figures in the race, and previously won three successive graded stakes.

Defunded (8/1) is a projected in-the-money finisher, and he'll duel with the top choice. Get Her Number (8/1) has great form progression and can challenge, according to Horse Racing Nation. Laurel River (5/1) has leading jockey Juan Hernandez riding for controversial trainer Bob Baffert, and he's a capable contender.
