Davante Adams Reveals Surprising Benefit From Aaron Rodgers Drama

Despite all of the drama that went on between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers this offseason, the reigning MVP is back and fully ready for Week 1. This could be the last season Rodgers spends in Green Bay and leading wide receiver Davante Adams revealed a surprising benefit from the NFL's biggest saga this summer.
According to Adams, Green Bay's roster enters the 2021 NFL season with a newfound sense of urgency.
Both Rodgers and Adams, who doesn't expect to get a contract extension done before the season, could be wearing different uniforms in 2022, but that hasn't hindered their motivation for the upcoming campaign.
At start of what might be their final season with #Packers, Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams gathered rookies to set expectations. The takeaway? “This is probably the hungriest team that I’ve ever been around honestly,” Adams said.

"This is probably the hungriest team that I’ve ever been around, honestly. Just because we have been so close a number of times now. So I feel like everybody in the back of their mind, they know how reachable it is and realistic that we are to getting to that final step. We just haven’t had an opportunity to showcase what we can do in the real dance."

The potential loss of Green Bay's two biggest playmakers would have a ripple effect on this team's performance. But, with at least one more season together, Adams isn't letting taking that opportunity lightly.
It'll be interesting to see if Green Bay can move on from the offseason drama during the regular season. But, the urgency can't be understated. Rodgers and Adams were a two-man show that led the Packers to 13 wins and an NFC Championship appearance.
Adams had a career year in his seventh NFL season, earning All-Pro honors after putting up 115 receptions for 1,374 receiving yards and a league-leading 18 touchdowns. Paired with Rodgers' MVP campaign, that's a lot of production potentially on the way out next year.
For now, the two are back and Green Bay has Super Bowl expectations in their sights. Green Bay enters the year with the third-best odds (+1200) to win Super Bowl 56 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
