Wide Receiver Davante Adams was listed as doubtful on the Green Bay Packer's final injury report for their Sunday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. Adams was a limited participant at practice all week as he is still recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered in the third quarter against the Detroit Lions in Week 2.

Adams missed four games last season with a turf toe injury. If he is unable to suit up this week, it raises the fantasy outlooks for fellow wide receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Allen Lazard ahead of Week 3.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling Fantasy Outlook

Someone will have to fill in for the average 10 targets per game Adams was seeing so far this season and that could easily be Valdes-Scantling. The third-year player out of South Florida has seen an average of 6.5 targets per game so far this season and seems to have budding chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Valdes-Scantling slides into a more prominent receiving role in Adams' absence and should be the first guy Rodgers looks to on short to intermediate passing plays. He is a comfortable FLEX start this week and has high-end WR3 upside.

Allen Lazard Fantasy Outlook

The other player who would see an uptick in targets if Adams does not play is Allen Lazard. Lazard filled in last year when Adams was out averaging 3 receptions for 37 yards and he scored a touchdown in one of those games as well.

Lazard has built a reputation for being a deep threat down the field and Aaron Rodgers may be looking to air it out against a Saints defense that just gave up 284 passing yards to Derek Carr. He is an intriguing FLEX play this week, but his scoring output may solely depend if he finds the endzone or not.
