It seemed earlier in the week like Davante Adams was going to treat fantasy football managers with a Week 4 return, but that excitement has been put to a halt.

Adams himself has said he will not be playing in a Monday Night Football matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. With Adams and Allen Lazard on the shelf, the Green Bay Packers will have to lean on Marquez Valdes-Scantling as their No. 1 wideout, giving his fantasy football outlook a nice boost.

Adams' continued absence means there are still a ton of targets up for grabs in Green Bay. After averaging 10.6 targets per game in 2019, he opened 2020 with a 17-target game in Week 1 before an injury cut his Week 2 outing short.

With Adams out in Week 3, it was Lazard that paced the Packers' pass-catchers, seeing 8 targets. His 59 snaps were also the most for anyone at the position.

Close behind in snap count was Valdes-Scantling (57). MVS only saw 4 targets in that one, but it is worth noting that he had 6 targets in Week 1 and then 7 in Week 2.

No other wideout played more than 37 percent of the team's offensive snaps in Week 3, so expect Valdes-Scantling to be Aaron Rodgers' clear top target this week. Darrius Shepherd could even see some work too. He didn't see a single target in Week 3, but he was the only receiver beyond Lazard and Valdes-Scantling to play even 5 snaps.

For fantasy managers that are in a bind after counting on Adams this week, Valdes-Scantling is easily the top option in this game to replace him in your starting lineup if you need someone off the waiver wire.

If he's not available and you're really desperate, a Hail Mary play with Shepherd may be your best (and only) bet.
