Following the U.S. Open, the PGA pros head cross country to TPC River Highlands for the Travelers Championship. Defending champion Dustin Johnson drops to No. 2 in the world, as Jon Rahm's U.S. Open victory moves him to No. 1 in the world golf rankings.

According to Travelers Championship odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, Johnson is +1200 to win and just behind the slight favorite, Bryson DeChambeau (+1100). Also, top-10 players Brooks Koepka (+1500), Patrick Cantlay (+1700) and Patrick Reed (+2700) are among the betting leaders in a field that includes 25 of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Rankings.

But beyond the favorites, here are some dark horse picks to win the Travelers Championship, per odds from FanDuel Sportsbook.

Travelers Championship Golf 2021 Dark Horses

1. Abraham Ancer (+3200)

The short Pete Dye-design at TPC River Highlands is another that requires decisions to be made off the tee with an emphasis on ball striking and second shots. Hitting greens in regulation goes a long way toward success, as does total putting stats. Abraham Ancer is hitting 70% fairways this season, which ranks top-10 on TOUR. The world No. 23-ranked player also ranks top six in this field in both SG: ball striking and approach over his last 36 rounds, and he's top three in proximity to hole from 150-175 yards. Ancer ranks very highly in this field on shorter par 4 scoring, and on Pete Dye courses, Ancer ranks top-10 in total strokes gained (SG) over his last 36 rounds. Four others were mentioned in the intro, and Ancer has also finished T11 and T8 the past two years in this event with four rounds of 66 or better. His current form is strong with three top-10 finishes (two top-five) since May including on the comp course at Copperhead, and a top 20 in April on the Dye-designed Harbour Town Golf Links.

2. Kevin Streelman (+3200)

Along with the key stats mentioned, golfers who can shape shots, manage their way around the course and miss in the right places set themselves up for success. Kevin Streelman is a Pete Dye specialist who also hits better than 68% greens in regulation to rank top 10 on TOUR. He ranks top 20 in ball striking, approach and tee-to-green over his last 36 rounds, and fits a number of stat profiles for success this week. Streelman is in fine form with four straight top-20 finishes the past month including in both majors. He also finished second here last year. Add in a Travelers Championship win in 2014 along with another top-10 and top-15 finish besides the runner-up result, and Streelman is a dark horse who can score and deliver the green again.

3. Keegan Bradley (+6500)

Scroll down the odds board further and you'll find a golfer who is swinging the sticks well with four top-20 finishes in his last five events since the end of April, including a pair of top five's. Keegan Bradley ranks top 10 in this field over his last 36 holes in proximity to hole from 125-150 and 150-175 yards. He finished T-2 in 2019 and T-8 in 2017 at the Travelers event, and his ball striking and tee-game stats are top 15.
