Dak Prescott Fantasy Outlook Includes QB1 Upside in 2020

The Dallas Cowboys' record sure didn't reflect it, but Dak Prescott had a career year in 2019. He ranked in the top four in the NFL in both passing yards (4,902) and touchdowns (30), despite the fact that Dallas only passed the football on 58.0 percent of its plays (No. 21 in the NFL).
That level of efficiency helped Prescott finish as fantasy's QB2 in 2019, trailing only Lamar Jackson. And Prescott looks poised for another monster year in 2020.

Dak Prescott Fantasy Football Value
Prescott currently carries an average draft position (ADP) of QB3, and that's exactly where he should be going. In fact, there's reason to believe Prescott could be even better than he was last year.
Right off the bat, CeeDee Lamb will be replacing Randall Cobb in the slot. That should instantly make Prescott's skill-position group a lot more explosive. The Cowboys' three-WR set (Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Lamb) now has a legitimate claim to being the best group in the league.
Dallas is also replacing the notoriously conservative Jason Garrett with Mike McCarthy. As mentioned above, the Cowboys threw the ball at just the 21st-highest rate in the league last season. McCarthy's Packers, on the other hand, threw it 67 percent of the time from 2015-18. That was the highest rate in the league during that span.

From 2015-2018, Mike McCarthy's Green Bay Packers passed the football on 67% of plays - the highest pass play rate in the NFL
The offensive line is still elite, his skill-position group is somehow better than ever and he's finally free from Jason Garrett. That should all lead to another monster year from the two-time Pro Bowler.
Prescott is a high-floor, high-ceiling option, and we've got him ranked as the QB3 in our 2020 fantasy rankings.
