D.J. Chark Jr. Fantasy Outlook Paints Him as Low-Risk, High-Reward WR in 2021
By Larry Rupp

The Jacksonville Jaguars made a number of moves this offseason to revamp the offense including drafting a pair of Clemson Tigers in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. One player that seems to be getting overlooked is wide receiver DJ Chark as he has the potential to shine in fantasy football.
D.J. Chark Fantasy Outlook
It's hard to overlook the success Chark has had over the last two NFL seasons. The 24-year-old has racked up 1,714 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in a total of 28 games played during that span.
Chark struggled with injuries and underwhelming quarterback play last season and it seemed to hold him back from reaching his full potential. Keep in mind that this is a player just two years removed from finishing as the No. 17 WR in PPR leagues thanks to a 1,000-yard receiving season.
The Jaguars signed veteran wideout Marvin Jones to a two-year deal and that may scare some fantasy managers away from Chark. However, Jones is past his prime at 31 years old and doesn't compare to the route-running abilities and overall speed Chark possesses on every play.
Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence will be looking to find his go-to target and Chark has an opportunity to take over that role. Jacksonville doesn't spend a No. 1 draft pick on a QB unless they plan to improve an air attack that averaged 231.2 passing yards per game in 2020 (No. 21 in NFL).
D.J. Chark ADP
The biggest benefit to targeting Chark in fantasy football drafts is the price it takes to acquire him. The fourth-year pro has an average draft position of No. 87 overall and No. 35 amongst WRs in PPR leagues, according to FantasyPros.
Chark is being taken off the board as a low-end WR3, but he has a ceiling of a reliable WR2 assuming he is fully healthy come Week 1. He checks in at WR28 in The Duel's 2021 fantasy football rankings.
