Curtis Samuel's nagging groin injury has been a major story out of the Washington Football Team's preparation for the regular season. Samuel hasn't participated in on-field work since suffering the injury in June, but he's been making recent progress.
And the latest update on Samuel is huge for Washington.
Curtis Samuel Injury
Samuel was spotted in full pads and practicing on Monday, which is nothing short of amazing news. He's come a long way in his injury rehab and now appears to be on track to play in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers if there are no setbacks.
Landing the fifth-year wideout in free agency this offseason was a huge coup for the reigning NFC East champs. Samuel set career highs in receptions (77) and receiving yards (851) last season while hauling in 3 touchdowns. The converted college running back is clearly finding his stride as a receiver, and he's in position to thrive opposite of Terry McLaurin.
Washington owns +156 odds to make the playoffs this season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
